MONTAGUE SUMMERS.
Summers was a renegade Reverend and author of an impressive list of books that were indispensible reading for anyone over the age of 40. They have stood the test of time and Vampire in Europe, The Vampire, The Werewolf and of course Witchcraft and Black Magic are still very alluring titles. FRIDAY 15TH AUGUST An Evening With...EMMA RESTALL ORR
on LIVING WITH HONOUR
Living With Honour: A book about Pagan Ethics. Given the anarchistic nature of most modern Pagan paths, to present Pagan ethics could be seen brash but this is what Emma has done in her latest book, Living with Honour. She will talk about the basis of her ideas, reasoning her vision from her own animistic Druidic perspective, exploring the nature of honour, of duty and ecstasy, and where an ethical framework can and should sit within modern Paganism. Emma Restall Orr is head of The Druid Network, an organisation she set up after stepping away as joint chief of The British Druid Order in 2002. She founded Honouring the Ancient Dead (HAD) in 2004, an advocacy group working with archaeologists, museums and heritage bodies about increasing respect for ancient British human remains. She is a teacher, priest and writer, her previous books including Living Druidry, Druid Priestess and Ritual.

WEDNESDAY 27TH AUGUST An Evening With... HILARY CARTER
THE 11:11 CODE
Hilary Carter dared to do what few of us would. She followed Coincidence, using the recurrence of 11:11Code and it did, of course, change her life profoundly. Whenever or wherever the numbers appeared, that dictated the new direction. It could have been New Age folly but it wasn’t by any means and took courage and money and tested her belief in these matters far more than a lot of us would willing to do. A very personal and fascinating account that re-enforces how we too, could and perhaps should, trust to Fate.

WEDNESDAY 17TH SEPTEMBER An Evening With...PHILIPPA FAULKS & ROBERT COOPER
CAGLIOSTRO,THE MASONIC MAGICIAN.
Count Alessandro Cagliostro was a cult figure of European society before the French Revolution. An alchemist, healer and Freemason, he inspired both wild devotion and savage ridicule – and novels by Alexander Dumas, a drama by Goethe and Mozart’s opera The Magic Flute. His sincere belief in the magical powers, including immortality, conferred by his Egyptian Rite of Freemasonry won him fame, but made him dangerous enemies too. His celebrated travels through the Middle East and the capitals of Europe ended abruptly in Rome in 1789, where he was arrested by the Inquisition and condemned to death for heresy.
The Masonic Magician tells Cagliostro’s extraordinary story, complete with the first English translation of the Egyptian Rite ever published. This engaging account, drawing on remarkable new documentary evidence, shows that the man condemned was a genuine visionary and true champion of Freemasonry.
Philippa Faulks is a writer of alternative history, mystery and religion with a special interest in the magical life of ancient Egypt. She lives in Suffolk.
Robert L D Cooper FRSA BA FSA (Scot) is a historian and leading Freemasonry scholar. He is curator of the Grand Lodge of Scotland.

WEDNESDAY 24TH SEPTEMBER An Evening With… BARBARA MEICKLEJOHN-FREE Possibly best known as the driving force of The Daughters of Gaia, Barbara is a devoted Shaman, Medium and Musician. Her extensive knowledge ranges through Native American cultures, that of being a Highland Seer, and her book, The Heart of all Knowing, captures some of her insights. As her skills are so wide ranging, this is bound to be an exciting and popular event.

THURSDAY 30 OCTOBER An Evening With... SCOTT HAWKINS;
PARA-MUSICAL ABSTRACTIONS FROM THE ANCIENT BUILT ENVIRONMENT AND THE PARTIALLY PREDICTABLE/UNPREDICTABLE AESTHETICS OF THE END TIME.
Yes, that’s right, para-musical abstractions from the ancient built environment and the partially predictable/unpredictable aesthetics of the end time. What it means is that Scott Hawkins has visited several ancient and important sites and recorded the music of the megaliths.
From Ley Lines to Stone Circles, Scott’s interest is with the manufacture of unusual musical instruments and their sounds. Whether plotting intervals derived from Ley Lines (to create new musical scales) or using Stone Circles as an inspiration for rhythms, his partially predictable / partially unpredictable aesthetic has developed from primitive inspirations.
He will be performing 'live' with his paramusical instruments and discussing the art, science (psychology) and magic of stones.
Scott is an experimentalist, outsider, has a career history that spans aerospace engineering, industrial design and performance art, with specific interest in sensory stimulation at the margins of human perception, 3D and beyond.

FRIDAY 31ST OCTOBEr An Evening With...ANDY MERCER
TRUE GHOST STORIES

Andy Mercer has been ghost hunting for several years and is involved with the London Paranormal Society.

FRIDAY 14TH NOVEMBER An Evening With... GEO TREVARTHEN
THE SEEKERS GUIDE TO HARRY POTTER .
Why are so many people drawn to Harry Potter? The phenomenon tells us a lot about what our culture lacks, and the books go on to say more than you may think about how to fill those voids. The novels weave many alchemical, spiritual and magical themes into their narrative. For example, the four Hogwarts houses correspond to the four alchemical elements and four magickal precepts. This evenings talk is based on Dr. Trevarthen's book, which draws from spiritual and scholarly sources to offer a deeper sense of magic and meaning in the novels and in our own lives.
